This is the quest where you get a free mount...no the mount is not permanent and it's only good for a couple of days.
When you reach Lvl 20 go to "Rolland" Talk to him and get the quest "Study", open your quest and click on the green name "Caniholi" (is inside the Library) after talking to him you will get a book just right click it and talk to "Caniholi again, then return to "Rolland". Actually after talking to "Caniholi the first time the quest is already done just go back to "Rolland" turn over the quest and you will receive your first free mount.
